How Far in Advance Should I Book a Mobile Bar?
If you’re planning an event, one of the most common questions is:
“How far in advance do I need to book a mobile bar?”
The short answer is: the earlier, the better, especially for peak dates. However, the right timing depends on the type of event you’re hosting.
Here’s a simple breakdown to help you plan with confidence.

Booking a Mobile Bar for a Wedding
If you’re planning a wedding, we always recommend booking your mobile bar as early as possible.
Wedding season is our busiest time of year, particularly between spring and early autumn. Popular weekend dates can be fully booked 12 months in advance or more.
Like most professional suppliers, The Cocktail Post requires a deposit to secure your date. Once booked, we’ll work with you closer to the wedding to finalise menus, timings, and any special requests so booking early doesn’t mean everything has to be decided straight away.
Our advice: If you’ve secured your venue and date, book your mobile bar soon after to avoid disappointment.
Booking for Parties & Private Events
For birthday parties, anniversaries, and private celebrations, availability can be more flexible.
- Weekend events should ideally be booked several months in advance
- Midweek events often have more availability and can sometimes be arranged at shorter notice
We’ve successfully supported private events booked with only a few weeks’ notice and in some cases, even less.
Corporate Events & Midweek Bookings
Corporate events typically take place during the week, which allows for more flexibility.
If you’re planning:
- A product launch
- A staff party
- A client event or networking evening
You may find availability even with shorter lead times, particularly for midweek dates.
That said, popular months can still fill quickly, so earlier is always safer.
Can I Book a Mobile Bar at Short Notice?
Yes, sometimes.
We’ve had clients book The Cocktail Post with as little as a few days notice, and thanks to our experienced team and efficient setup, we’re often able to accommodate last-minute requests.
However, short-notice bookings depend on:
- Existing availability
- Event size
- Menu requirements
If your date is coming up soon, the best thing to do is simply ask we’ll always be honest about what’s possible.
When Is the Best Time to Book?
As a general guide:
- Weddings: 9–12 months in advance
- Weekend private events: 2–6 months in advance
- Midweek & corporate events: 4–8 weeks in advance
- Last-minute events: Enquire today, availability varies
